Born
on Lisbon on 1976. Graduated in Theatre Design and also in Theatre and
Education. At the present time he frequents a Master degree in Contemporary
Culture and New Technologies. Has a participate in several workshops on the
fields of contemporary dance and performance with several international
choreographers. Works in the fields of dance and visual arts, both as
choreographer/performer and visual artist. Teatches in the fields of
integrated dance for a group of young artists with cerebral paralisy and in
Theatre and Education in a Education Superior School. Since 1996, in the
mainstream of dance he develops and performs his works, having presented his
pieces in several dance festivals and other events in Portugal, Spain,
Switzerland, Germany and France. In
the fields of Visual Arts develops a work in the boundaries of instalation,
video and performance, exploring new approaches and different connections
between visual arts and dance and the multiple languages and materials
displayed by this different medias. Recently has presented a solo exhibition
at the Quadrum Gallery in Lisbon.
Was presented on the Mostra Nacional de Jovens Criadores 2001 Clube Portugues de Artes e Ideias, Portugal/Coimbra, 2002./QUADRUM Gallery, Lisbon, 2002 Pretends to be a reflection above the idea of the descending movement that a body realizes in the space whenever it looses the gravity, in result of his weight. The concept of falling pretends to configure a connection with the figure of the body, the object itself. This is a body that translates a movement between the fragment and the fall, the visible and the depths, the weight and the appearance, the cut and the (re)presentation. Under. 2002.
