Renzo OLIVA ITALY

РЕНЦО ОЛИВА ИТАЛИЯ

Was born in 1944. After graduating in the Roman University, he translated a dozen of Russian novels and wrote many articles devoted to Russian literature and history. He likes to write also short novels which the majority of the readers like very little and the minority like very much.He discovered Scrap Art in Malorca during a holiday, seven years ago. Until now he has had 10 solo exhibitions.

THE BOUNDARY-LINE BETWEEN SACRED AND PROFANE Russian people in these days are at loss if they-have to define a boundary-line between sacred and profane. Before, during the Communism, nothing was sacred (they were using churches as factories, as clubs etc.). Nowadays, in a sort of superstition, they tend to consider sacred everything which concerns religion. They have not found yet the right approach to that matter: but a deconsacred church is not anymore a church, an old oklad is just a scrap of metal - good for Scrap Art!
